Public Transport

- Coventry will be particularly busy when Olympic Football matches are taking. Even though the City of Coventry stadium is used to hosting large sporting events, some Olympic Football matches will take place on weekdays and during the daytime, which could affect your travel, so try to plan around this wherever you can.
- Coventry rail station is a recommended venue station for spectators attending the Olympic Football events at the City of Coventry stadium. This station will be busier two to three hours before events begin and one to two hours after events finish. It may also be busy when the last trains leave at the end of the day.

Roads and parking
- To handle the number of daily visitors anticipated during the Games, it is essential that roads, traffic and parking in Coventry are properly managed. So, road and parking restrictions will be introduced when events are taking place.
- Roads may be busier than usual before the start and at the end of Olympic Football matches. If you have to travel by car in affected areas, try to avoid travelling during the busiest periods in the afternoon and evenings.
- There will be off-site parking and a park-and-ride shuttle service will run from Coventry city centre, which may affect travel in the area.
- Local access and parking measures will be in place around Games venues. This will help to provide a safe and secure environment around the venues and help keep traffic moving for local residents and businesses, so they can carry on with their day-to-day activities.
